September Round Up from The One Point Foundation!
As we wrap up September, we’re excited to share some highlights and updates from our team’s recent projects and achievements. This month has been full of collaboration, growth, and new opportunities, and we appreciate everyone’s dedication and hard work.
Grimsby and Immingham Shipping Association Dinner – Boluda Towage
Alongside the Think360 team, representative from The One Point attended the Grimsby and Immingham Shipping Association Dinner by Boluda Towage. The night saw, keynote speaker – Gary McAlister discusses highlights of his career and life, a charity raffle to raise money for Sailors Children’s Society and great food from Forest Pines!
All in all, it was a great event and our team enjoyed attending, congratulation to Natalie Fleming, from Boluda Towage, for putting on the night.

Sailors Children’s Society
On 12th September, Adam Walsh from the Sailors Children’s Society led the Bridge2Bridge challenge alongside 30 other riders. Over the course of 2 days, the team cycled an impressive 212 miles to raise funds for charity.
The One Point Foundation contributed £100 towards the event and extended our best wishes to all the participants. Thanks to tremendous effort, the Sailors Cyclist Team managed to raise £2,400 towards their £3,000 target – an outstanding result.
The Sailors Children’s Society, a national charity, continues to support children whose parents have worked at sea or on inland waterways. Their assistance extends to families from the fishing fleets, Royal Navy, Merchant Navy, ferries, cruise ships, and offshore industries.

We are proud to be big supporters of Hull KR and sponsors of one of their stadiums stands. The red and whites, continue to excel within Rugby League and it’s great to follow their success.

The One Point West Yorkshire Golf Day 2025
What a fantastic day at the One Point West Yorkshire Golf Day 2025! Hosted at Leeds Golf Centre, this event brought together team members, customers, partners, and suppliers for a great cause—raising funds for Prosper Wakefield District and supporting their Children’s Bed Appeal.
Let’s talk results! Congratulations to our big winners:
1st Place – Tinkle Group
2nd Place – LSi LTD
3rd Place – Pure Storage
And a special shout-out to the Wooden Spoon Winner, Unmasked Mental Health—there’s always next year!
Emma and Jess from St. George’s Crypt kept spirits high (and thirsts quenched) as they cruised around on the drink’s buggy, while John and Jean from Zarach added extra fun with a course challenge.
The energy was amazing, and everyone showed incredible support for both The One Point and Prosper Wakefield. Thanks to everyone who participated, we can’t wait to see you again next year!

Devils Kitchen 2025
On September 25th, the TOP team stepped into the heat of the kitchen for the launch of Devil’s Kitchen, all in support of the incredible work of the Hey Smile Foundation.
The event brought together friendly competition, delicious food, and plenty of laughter as The One Point faced off against Wilkin Chapman Rollits. With a final score of 29/30 vs 29.8/30, Wilkin Chapman Rollits narrowly took the win—but with such a close result, we’re already calling for a rematch!
Most importantly, the event raised an amazing £3,433 for the Hey Smile Foundation, helping to support local causes and community initiatives.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and made the night unforgettable.

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice: Dragon Boat Race
A huge congratulations to the We Are Wakefield Team and our very own Rob Pinder for braving the elements and taking part in the Dragon Boat Races 2025 in support of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
Despite the appalling weather, the team’s spirit never wavered. Soaked to the skin and shivering, they powered through three races—losing the first with a time of 58.71 seconds, but bouncing back to win the second and third with impressive times of 51.80 and 47.77 seconds.
Their determination paid off, raising over £700 for the charity. A fantastic effort from everyone involved!

Macmillan Coffee Morning 2025
We were proud to support Macmillan Cancer Support with our Coffee Morning Fundraiser. Every slice, sip, and smile helped make a meaningful difference.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who baked or bought treats, we raised just over £170 for this incredible cause. Any contributions go directly towards helping those affected by cancer.

Our recent activities highlight the strength of our community, and the difference collective effort can make. From close competitions and determined dragon boat teams to a successful coffee morning, every event contributed directly to local charities. Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, or supported these initiatives—your involvement is what made each event a success. We look forward to building on this momentum in the next few months.
