At The One Point, we believe in making a positive impact locally and globally. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been busy supporting incredible causes, connecting with our community, and sharing knowledge. Here a look at what we’ve been up to:

Supporting The Park Lane Foundation Charity Dinner

We were proud to attend the Park Lane Foundation Charity Dinner at Headingly Stadium alongside our friends from We Are Wakefield and St George’s Crypt. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to The Park Lane Group for their exceptional hospitality. It was an inspiring evening dedicated to making a difference.

Donating to the Gambian Schools Trust

Education changes lives, and we’re thrilled to support the Gambian Schools Trust by donating 30 mobile phones and 20 laptops. Their volunteer, David Wright, will travel to Gambia in February to distribute these alongside desks, chairs, books, and other essentials. We’re proud to play a part in this incredible initiative.

Celebrating Excellence at the Wakefield Business Awards

Our Cyber Lead, Rob Pinder, had the honor of presenting the Medium/Large Business of the Year Award at the Wakefield Business Awards. Congratulations to Thurston’s Group and all the nominees and winners who make our region thrive. It was a fantastic evening celebrating innovation and success.

Packing Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child

Christmas is about giving, and our team packed 100 shoeboxes for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Appeal. Each box was filled with toys, stationery, and essentials to bring joy to children this festive season. Thank you to everyone at TOP who got involved!

Spreading Cheer with The Hey Smile Foundation

As part of the HEY Smile Foundation Christmas Appeal, we donated over 100 chocolate selection boxes to Doreen’s Hull. These will help create hampers for children in the HU7 area, ensuring every child receives a gift this Christmas. We’re proud to support local initiatives that make a real difference.

Networking with Leeds Knights

We had a fantastic morning at the Leeds Knights networking event at The Banksia, hosted by Verity Thomas. It was great to connect with new faces and hear the inspiring story of the Leeds Knights’ post-pandemic relaunch—a true example of resilience and achievement.

Looking Ahead

From charity work to community engagement and knowledge sharing, The One Point Team and Foundation is committed to creating positive change and engaging our community. Thank you to everyone who has joined us or taken part in an event with us this month!
