One of the ways we achieve this is through our partnership with Refurbit, one of our environmental partners dedicated to extending the life of technology through refurbishment, reuse and responsible recycling.

Why Technology Reuse Matters

Electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams worldwide. Too often, devices that are still functional end up stored away, forgotten about or sent for disposal despite having many years of useful life remaining.

By adopting a circular approach to technology, organisations can reduce waste, lower carbon emissions and create opportunities for equipment to continue delivering value long after its first deployment.

That is why we work with Refurbit to ensure redundant equipment is assessed, securely processed and, wherever possible, prepared for reuse rather than landfill.

The Impact So Far

Our latest work with Refurbit really demonstrates the difference that responsible technology management can make.

Through our partnership we have:

• Processed 790 devices
• Retained 2.88 tonnes of technology within the circular economy
• Prevented an estimated 35.31 tonnes of CO2 emissions
• Achieved a reuse rate of more than 90%

These figures represent hundreds of devices that have been refurbished, reused or responsibly recycled rather than discarded.

The technology collected includes laptops, desktops, mobile devices, networking equipment, monitors, servers and other IT assets that can continue providing value long after their initial use.

Security and Sustainability Go Hand in Hand

Responsible recycling is not only about protecting the environment. It is also about protecting data.

Every device entering the refurbishment process undergoes secure handling procedures, including verified data erasure before refurbishment and resale. Devices are collected, logged into inventory, safely wiped and prepared for reuse where appropriate. This ensures organisations can meet their data security responsibilities while supporting environmental goals. We handle this process for many of our customers, ensuring all data is kept secure and protected before handover.
