Supporting Our People, Strengthening Our Communities

At The One Point Foundation, we are proud to support our people in the incredible work they do, both within our business and across the communities we serve. Over the past month, our Foundation Ambassadors have been working closely with team members to provide funding, encouragement and practical support for a range of inspiring initiatives.

Here’s a snapshot of how our team is making a difference.

Grant Funding In Action

We were delighted to provide grant funding to support two fantastic fundraising efforts led by members of our team.

Supporting Mental Health Awareness

£125 was awarded to support a community-led climb of Ben Nevis, led by our Stock Manager, helping raise funds for HEY Mind. This local organisation provides vital mental health support across Hull and the East Riding, offering services that include counselling, youth support and crisis care. With thousands of people reaching out for help each year, HEY Mind continues to play a crucial role in supporting those who need it most.

We are incredibly proud to have supported this initiative and congratulate everyone involved in raising vital funds for such an important cause.

Backing Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support

We also supported a 24-hour charity gaming event organised by another member of the team, Simon Duck, with £125 added to their fundraising efforts. The event aims to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that has been helping people living with cancer for over a century. From clinical care to emotional support, Macmillan ensures that no one faces cancer alone.

We wish all involved the very best of luck and look forward to seeing the impact they make.

Tech For Good: Supporting Education in Gambia

Our commitment to making a difference extends beyond the UK. Through our ongoing Tech for Gambia initiative, we continue to collect and repurpose devices for the Gambian Schools Trust.

So far, our team has donated 11 laptops and 12 mobile phones, all fully wiped and prepared for reuse. These devices will play a key role in improving access to education and digital resources for young people.

We remain committed to working with our customers and partners to grow this initiative and widen its impact.

Team Fundraising Efforts

Across the business, our people continue to go above and beyond to support causes close to their hearts.

• One team member is taking on a series of challenging hikes to raise money for Cancer Research UK, showing incredible dedication and determination.
• Another colleague is part of a large-scale cycling challenge supporting the MND community, inspired by a former professional athlete’s diagnosis.
• Members of our wider team are also taking part in events such as Race for Life, raising funds and awareness for cancer support and research.

These efforts reflect the passion, resilience and generosity that runs through our organisation.
