About The Foundation

At The One Point, we believe in making a tangible difference in the communities we serve. The One Point Foundation was established to empower our team members to actively support causes that resonate with them, reflecting our commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Areas of Support

We are proud to contribute to various sectors:

Sports: Backing local grassroots clubs such as North Ferriby FC, Barton Town FC, Hessle Rangers, and Hull FC.
Education: Partnering with initiatives like Run With IT to enhance numeracy and literacy among young people.
Business: Supporting events and organizations including the Women of Achievement Awards, For Entrepreneurs Only (FEO), Marketing Humber, and Sirius Enterprise Agency.
Culture: Engaging in cultural events like the Humber Platinum Jubilee, Northern Theatre Performing Arts, Hessle Theatre Company, and Hull PRIDE.
Charities: Assisting organizations such as the Sailors’ Society, Operation Christmas Child, Crohn’s & Colitis UK, and the HICA Virtual Dementia Tour Bus.
Communities: Participating in community events like the Smile Foundation, CallER, North Ferriby Festival, and Bidford Christmas Lights.

Meet The Team

Our Foundation team is made up of employee volunteers who are passionate about supporting local organisations.

Tessa Wray

As the Chair of The One Point Foundation Tessa works closely with our team to direct their activities and ensure charity events run smoothly to maximise fundraising.

Lucie Thorpe

Lucie chose to join the Foundation to give back to her local community and have an influence on the activities of the Ambassadors. She works closely with Tessa to run events and heads up all communication.

Jacob Hodgson

Jacob joined the Foundation in 2024, since starting at The One Point he has always gotten involved in fundraising and pushed for the Ambassadors to choose charities close to his heart.

Charlie McCaffer

Charlie joined The One Point Foundation to channel his passion for supporting veterans and those in need. Having served in the army, he is driven to give back to the community and help other overcome challenges.

Alex McCallum

Alex joined the Foundation to share his passion for giving back to the community and charity. Working with local organisations he brings an experience of working within charities to the committee.

Luke Sapsford

Luke joined The One Point Foundation to make a difference in the community he calls home. Growing up in West Yorkshire, he is passionate about giving back to people and causes across the region.

Simon Booth

Simon decided to join The One Point Foundation so he could make a difference in the community and support charities that he believes in.

We support over 100 organisations each year, chosen by our team! Raising money through internal and external events

Environmental Commitment

Recognising the importance of environmental stewardship, The One Point Foundation has initiated tree-planting projects to support the planet’s “lungs.” We are also committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2025 through:

Adapting our workspaces
Promoting greener commuting options
Implementing energy-saving measures in our offices

The One Point Forest

We are on a mission to become net zero – our commitment to this is solid. In addition to planting trees in order to be 100% carbon neutral we are recycling technology, managing waste, minimising travel and only sourcing renewable energy.

Team Involvement

Our entire team actively participates in Foundation activities, from payroll raffles to group fundraising events like the Hull 10K. Funding decisions are made by a committee comprising representatives from all departments, ensuring support for causes meaningful to our team members.

Recent Initiatives

Operation Christmas Child: Donated 100 shoeboxes to children in need.
Hull 10K Participation: Team members ran to raise funds for local charities.
Educational Support: Expanded our partnership with ‘Run With It’ to reach more schools and venues.
