TOP Sponsor Celebrity Xmas Light Switch On for 6th Year

The One Point have sponsored the Bidford-On-Avon Celebrity Xmas Light Switch On for the 6th Year running. Bidford-On-Avon is our very own MD Martin Lauer's home town. The switch-on has become a staple in The One Point's community calendar year on year. This year, the English actor Richard Griffiths from Harry Potter, Withnail and I, Pirates of the Caribbean and Pie in the Sky conducted the Celebrity Christmas Light Light Switch On.

The One Point have now sponsored this event for 6 years, following Martin Lauer's parents' decision that it was about time that Bidford had some festive lights. They set up the Bidford lights committee nearly 10 years ago, and the rest is history.

"I am very proud to support the event. In reality, my parents and their good friends decided to do something about Bidford being in darkness - a real community effort! It just shows what can be achieved with a 'can-do' attitude", commented Martin Lauer.
