TOP celebrates National Apprenticeship Week 2020!

National Apprenticeship Week takes place between the 3rd and 9th of February 2020.

"This annual celebration of apprenticeships will bring the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy."

At The One Point, we highly value investing in our team, whether that's through social events or training leading to qualifications to boost careers. We support apprentices wanting to take their first steps into Digital or Technical job roles, as well as apprentices wanting to further their skills with higher qualifications. To provide this training, we work in partnership with technical training provider, Baltic Training Services.

Meet some of our past and present apprentices below:

Jacob Hodgson - ICT Support Analyst:

Jacob passes apprenticeship - The One Point

Jacob joined The One Point as an apprentice in 2017 and completed his Level 3 Infrastructure Technician qualification with a fantastic final grade of a Merit!

Jacob is now an ICT Support Analyst at The One Point.

"An apprenticeship with TOP was the best decision of my career. Working with great people and great customers. We are like one big family and you learn so much along the way, including gaining City & Guilds and Microsoft certifications! I could not recommend TOP enough!"

Lewis Cook - IT Support Manager:

Lewis passes apprenticeship - The One Point

Lewis joined The One Point as an apprentice in 2016 and passed his Level 3 MCSA Program, which is an official Microsoft certification!

Lewis is now the IT Support Manager at The One Point.

"Being an apprentice for me was so beneficial and I would never have thought I would be where I am now. I would 100% recommend apprenticeships and I believe they are the way to go!"

Ruby Keable - Marketing Executive:

Ruby passes apprenticeship - The One Point

Ruby joined The One Point as an apprentice in 2018 and completed her Level 3 Digital Marketing qualification with a fantastic grade of a Distinction!

Ruby is now a Marketing Executive at The One Point, whilst going on to complete her Level 4 Digital Marketing qualification.

"After deciding to change my career path from University to an Apprenticeship, I found the opportunity of a lifetime with TOP. I have loved learning whilst working in a professional and friendly environment and my confidence has grown so much. I look forward to seeing what my future holds as a Marketer at TOP!"

Kerry Owston - Marketing Executive:

Kerry Apprenticeship - The One Point

Kerry joined The One Point in 2015 as a Web Designer but decided on a career change to Marketing in 2018, leading to her completing a Level 3 qualification in Digital Marketing at TOP.

Kerry is now a Marketing Executive at The One Point, whilst also going on to complete a Level 4 qualification in Digital Marketing after completing her Level 3.

"My career has taken an unexpected change into Marketing and The One Point has supported me to gain the education and experience to be successful."

Tom Buckfield - ICT Support Analyst:

Tom apprenticeship - The One Point

Tom joined The One Point as an apprentice in 2018 and is currently working on completing his Level 3 Infrastructure Technician qualification.

Tom is currently working and training alongside our Helpdesk Team as an ICT Support Analyst.

"I have enjoyed working at TOP for the time I've been here and I feel part of the team. Every day is different, speaking to more and more new people. My experience as an apprentice has been and continues to be fantastic!"

Oliver Cook - ICT Engineer:

Oliver joined The One Point as an apprentice in 2019 and is currently working on completing his Level 3 Unified Communications qualification.

Oliver is currently working and training alongside our Engineer Team as an ICT Engineer.

"I have gained a lot of experience so far as an apprentice, and I am able to put to practice the things I have learnt each day in the real world."

Louis Joyce - ICT Support Analyst:

Louis joined The One Point as an apprentice in 2019 and is currently working on completing his Level 3 Infrastructure Technician qualification.

Louis is currently working and training alongside our Helpdesk Team as an ICT Support Analyst.

"I chose to do an apprenticeship as it allows me to work and gain on the job experience, whilst also earning money and gaining independence. Being an apprentice at TOP has been great for me, as it is a welcoming and supportive environment, which has allowed me to learn and grow at a pace suitable to me."
