With help from The One Point, students from Wilberforce College have been working hard over the past few months as they build and prepare to race a Kit Car for the upcoming Greenpower Project Race. This is to be held at the KCOM Stadium on Sunday 16th July.

Throughout the preparations for the event, we have contributed with assistance from our Senior IT Engineer Chris Roberts as well Project Manager and App Developer Jack Batty.

This week Chris helped students through the scrutineering process and helped them fix problems with their Kit Car battery to ensure their entry was ready for the July final.

Greenpower is a project designed to inspire and challenge the region’s aspiring young engineers, sponsored by Siemens who, together with local sponsors, introduced it to schools and colleges last year via an initiative called ‘Project Blyth’.
