The One Point and IT@Spectrum invite businesses to 'come and see' at The View

Partner companies IT@Spectrum and The One Point have issued an open invitation to the business community to come and see how to harness technology to drive growth.

The sister companies have taken their alliance to a new level at their newly-opened headquarters at the Bridgehead business park close to the Humber Bridge, with key teams working together seamlessly to offer a compelling package of IT managed services.

IT@Spectrum and The One Point have created a state-of-the-art working environment at Bridgehead that enables collaborative working and realises the full potential of their partnership.

The new offices, branded 'The View', have been purpose-designed to cement the strategic partnership and enable formal and informal meetings with customers and prospective customers, or companies that simply want to see the latest technology being used to deliver efficiency and productivity.

The £2.75m offices, which became fully operational at the start of the month, offer superb brand visibility at Bridgehead, which is strategically located close to the Humber Bridge and A63/M62 corridor.

The facilities include areas ideal for visitors to use, including one capable of accommodating up to 48 people, equipped with top-quality audio-visual equipment and commanding panoramic views of the fast-growing Bridgehead site.

The 'come and see' invitation has already proven popular, with dozens of customers and other businesses having taken tours of the offices and made use of the facilities.

Ken Sturdy, Managing Director of office technology business, said: 'Our new offices provide an excellent working environment for our staff and support the realisation of our vision for our strategic partnership but, most of all, they enable us to deliver even better service and value to our customers.'

Martin Lauer, Managing Director of IT services and telecoms company The One Point, added: 'The new offices have opened up so many new opportunities, including for the business community to come in and use our facilities.'

We're literally throwing open our doors. We're saying - if you want use our space, use our space. If you want to talk to any of our staff, you can do that. If you want to just chew the fat about what's next in technology, you can do that too.

The 15,000 sq ft, three-storey offices have reinforced a partnership first forged between IT@Spectrum and The One Point in 2014 and support the businesses in providing a powerful combination of office technology services.


The companies have moved from separate offices in Hull, bringing a total of 75 staff to Bridgehead. The new offices provide a launchpad for the next phase of growth for IT@Spectrum and The One Point, enabling the companies to offer a one-stop shop of business technology services.

Sales, finance, consulting, engineering support and helpdesk functions have all been brought together, with working practices aligned, to deliver enhanced service and value to the companies' combined client base of more than 1,200 organisations.

Mr Sturdy said The View provided a 'living showroom' experience where clients and other businesses could see IT@Spectrum's print and office automation systems in action, complemented by The One Point's wide-ranging business IT and telecoms services.

He added: 'Clients aren't looking for product suppliers; they want managed services. By combining the scope of the offering from IT@Spectrum and The One Point, we have a very broad IT managed services portfolio which ticks so many boxes in terms of client needs. For us and for our customers, it really makes sense.'

Mr Lauer added: 'Over the past two years we have worked collaboratively together to ensure this was the right thing to do. Our client feedback was that it made sense and worked for them.'

'Now we’ve gone much further by coming together under one roof and integrating the teams, because that's what makes sense for our customers. If it didn't work for the customer, by delivering a better service and greater value, we wouldn't do it.'
