Nicky & Dave celebrate 10 years at The One Point

Today, we celebrated two very important team members at The One Point as they reach their 10 years service with us.

Director of Finance and Operations, Nicola Willingham, and Principal Software Architect, David Carr, joined The One Point 10 years ago as the first in their departments. They have seen a lot of change in our industry and in The One Point over the past 10 years, building their own teams along the way and developing their skills as they grow with the company.

Director of Finance and Operations, Nicola Willingham:

Nicky joined The One Point in 2009 as the company's first full-time finance administrator. She now runs a finance team and oversees the operational and customer satisfaction sides of the company.

"Wow, my 10 years at TOP! I have thoroughly enjoyed working for the company alongside the changes in technology that have come with it. It is a pleasure to be part of such a great team and I look forward to the next 10 years!"

Principal Software Architect, David Carr:

Dave also joined The One Point in 2009. Fresh out University, graduating with a 1st Class Degree, Dave has overseen the development of The One Point's Digital department. During his time, he has trained his own team and launched The One CRM, The One ERP and The One App.

"It's been an interesting journey. I joined what was 'The Media Point' at the time (later we became The One Point), I started out building customer websites when mobile-friendly sites were just taking off."

"The technology has changed a lot in 10 years. We got into the CRM market out of the need for a system ourselves, that catered for our business model. Once we had a product working for it, customers started asking if we could build a tailored solution for them. Fast forward to the present, we're now building lots of varied web applications, from text platforms to integrated telephone systems, and fully managed CRM/ERP systems.

"I've enjoyed the journey. Being employed by a forward-thinking company has its perks as you can leverage emerging technologies as we continue to grow and allow customers more ways than ever to communicate with us. I look forward to the next 10 years!"

We celebrated Nicky and Dave's milestone today in our Event Space at The View.
