Lead by example by adopting these 6 Microsoft 365 productivity habits.

Our team of Microsoft-certified technical experts can help your business get ahead with Microsoft technology at The One Point. And as a Double Gold Microsoft Partner, we are always looking for ways to help our customers get the most out of Microsoft 365 (previously known as Office 365).

We also understand that a fear of new technology is common. Often teams will want to continue using familiar tools as learning new methods and routines can be hard and takes time, so it's not always easy to get an entire team on board with new, improved ways of working.

So, today we are sharing these top tips for using the productivity and performance features available in Microsoft 365 to help you lead by example and demonstrate to your team what can be achieved with the technology at their fingertips.

Use 'Office Lens' to capture notes

Forget scrambling to jot down whiteboard diagrams; make use of office lens instead. Your team are guaranteed to be impressed when they receive their whiteboard notes in digital note form as an email and are likely to want to repeat them in future meetings. All you need to do is take a snapshot from your phone camera using the Microsoft Office Lens app.

Make use of collaboration and co authoring tools

It is incredibly easy to share documents with your team when you save them in SharePoint or OneDrive. Using a process very similar to the familiar Google Docs, it is possible to share and track the progress of documents instantly.

Use SharePoint to attach files

While in SharePoint, it is also worth mentioning that there is no need for the laborious task of downloading a file and uploading it as an attachment when you want to email that file when it can be sent straight from SharePoint.

Say goodbye to physical signatures

DocuSign saves time, energy and trees by eradicating the whole print and scan process. Capturing signatures on digital documents is easy and can be done right in Word or Outlook.

Show how you conquer unfamiliar tasks with 'Tell Me'

At the top of most Microsoft 365 apps, including Word and Excel, you’ll see a box that asks what you want to do. Even if you know how to do a task, try putting it into 'Tell Me' to see how Office recommends handling it. It’s surprising what experts can learn from re-reading beginner content.
