Our Principal Software Architect and ERP Specialist, David Carr, is now a published author of his 2nd book, The PHP Workshop. A coding guide that teaches practical hands on examples of how to get the most out of PHP.
David took his first steps on the way to becoming a published author back in November 2017, when he was first approached by Packt. A publisher highly regarded in the tech industry for the quality of their technical guides that teach a wide selection of programming languages.
The opportunity to be a published author of a PHP book was of great interest to David, who has always a had a great passion for web development, so he was thrilled to take part in a new project after the success of his first book.
David has always enjoyed helping people get started in the PHP language, therefore, David was keen to write the initial chapters teaching the fundamentals of PHP, as well as writing for an advanced bonus chapter, which teaches Unit Testing to help developers learn best practices and how to produce robust code for their projects.
David said: 'It was a fantastic experience to see my 1st book in print and I was thrilled to continue to share my knowledge with other developers in a second book. It's my plan to keep on writing as I have several more ideas for future publications.'
