The One Point launch business telephone systems

The One Point now provide traditional business telephone systems from NEC and Panasonic in order to cover the full range of business communciations.

Having launched the system side of the business in August we have already installed a large number of systems and also partnered with a number of local organisations including Probe Hull Ltd who have taken advantage of a complete communciations solution in the form of the NEC XN120.

Managing Director Martin Lauer said "Our customers are tending to use more than one of the Group services once they become aware of the various communication solutions we offer. We have felt for some time that an over-arching brand demonstrating our 'single-source services' would make more sense to our growing client base. The re-brand has been very well receieved. The subsidery limited companies are unaffected, this rebrand just makes much more sense to our customers."

Supporting Lord Mayor of Kingston-Upon-Hull's charity sporting dinner

Hull's Business Communication specialists, The Mobile Point, have supported this year's Lord Mayor of Kingston-upon-Hull's Charity Sporting Dinner, which is helping to raise funds for the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal.

This year, the Lord Mayor's Chairty Appeal Comittee has chosen Hull Rape Crisis and Marie Curie Cancer Care as it's selected charities for the year and The Mobile Point have donated a BlackBerry handset as a raffle prize for the Charity Sporting Dinner, which will help raise money for these causes.

The Mobile Point launch all new broadband and telecom alternative in Hull and Humber

Hull Communications company, The Mobile Point Limited and Quickline Communications Limited, Hull’s new supplier of next generation business broadband, are pleased to announce a partnership agreement that will make alternative broadband, telephone and hosted IT services immediately available to businesses in Hull.

These new products include up to 10 megs of symmetrical broadband, hosted Digital Voice (VoIP) with free inter-site calls and hosted Microsoft Exchange, all of these new offerings avoid the requirement of expensive, depreciating, on-site equipment and specialist in-house IT skills. The products are highly scalable from 1 to 100s of users, at a single site or spread across the region. The backbone of this system is the Quickline symmetrical data network for the reassurance of reliability and quality of service.

Making Christmas special for children of Hull

The Mobile Point have partnered with Reed Employment to donate hundreds of toys to the Childrens Ward at Hull Royal Infirmary.

"We hope this will make their Christmas as magical as it can be." said TMP Marketing Manager, David Bushnell (Pictured). "Reed presented us with the opportunity to donate and we gladly accepted it. I know personally that it isn't the greatest Christmas when you have to spend it in hospital and we hope that as a company, we have made their Christmas this year that much better."

Martin Lauer wins Young Business Person of the Year

Martin Lauer, MD of The Mobile Point has won 'Young Business Person of the Year 2008' at the Mail News and Media awards. The Mail said that Martin had shown considerable commitment and contribution to the business community and area as a whole.

"I'm extremely honoured and happy to be receiving such a prestigious award."

Supporting Havelock Academy Grimsby

The Mobile Point have extend its 'Sponsored Academy & School Programme' to the Havelock Academy in Grimsby. TMP will now donate mobiles, mobile broadband, media services, film, a bluetooth media kiosk and line rental discounts for use by students and teachers. The sponsorship will bring great benefits to those attending the academy and this partnership now adds to the Oasis Academy set-up back in September.

The Mobile Point support student awards at Andrew Marvel School

The Mobile Point have again sponsored the student awards with Andrew Marvel School for the 2nd year in a row. TMP have awarded cash prizes to 5 winners!
