Hull's Business Communication specialists, The One Point, have supported this year's Lord Mayor of Kingston-upon-Hull's Charity Sporting Dinner, which is helping to raise funds for the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal.

This year, the Lord Mayor's Chairty Appeal Comittee has chosen Hull Rape Crisis and Marie Curie Cancer Care as it's selected charities for the year and The Mobile Point have donated a BlackBerry handset as a raffle prize for the Charity Sporting Dinner, which will help raise money for these causes.

Hull Communications company, The One Point Limited and Quickline Communications Limited, Hull’s new supplier of next generation business broadband, are pleased to announce a partnership agreement that will make alternative broadband, telephone and hosted IT services immediately available to businesses in Hull.

These new products include up to 10 megs of symmetrical broadband, hosted Digital Voice (VoIP) with free inter-site calls and hosted Microsoft Exchange, all of these new offerings avoid the requirement of expensive, depreciating, on-site equipment and specialist in-house IT skills. The One Point have partnered with Reed Employment to donate hundreds of toys to the Childrens Ward at Hull Royal Infirmary.

"We hope this will make their Christmas as magical as it can be." said The One Point Marketing Manager, David Bushnell (Pictured). "Reed presented us with the opportunity to donate and we gladly accepted it. I know personally that it isn't the greatest Christmas when you have to spend it in hospital and we hope that as a company, we have made their Christmas this year that much better."

Communications & Media Specialists, The One Point, have become a kit sponsor of Hull's newly formed National League basketball club, the Hull Wasps, for the 2008-2009 season. The One Point will appear on the team kit this year after deciding to get further involved with the club.

Their specialist media department have been helping to promote the club since May through web site and e-marketing and have no doubt been an integral part of the clubs success so far.
