Martin Lauer is the Managing Director of The One Point Ltd. He has been instrumental in developing The One Point into the powerhouse company it is today and has received various awards for his business efforts. Martin loves supporting local businesses and the feeling of getting things done.

The One Point started in 2003 as a business mobile supplier. Over that past 7 years the company has grown to employ over 20 staff in 3 UK locations including Hull, Manchester and Dorset and has consolidated its position as a single source of supply for integrated IT, Telecommunications, Mobile and Digital Media and Marketing Services.

The company now looks after many large corporate accounts servicing highly technical communications and marketing solutions and is known for innovation and won Yorkshire Business of the Year 2010. His company was also recognised at this year’s Mail News and Media Awards – notably The One Point’s Contribution to the Community highlighting the £250,000 the company has contributed into local initiatives.

For all of his outstanding efforts, Martin won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007 and Young Business Person of the Year in 2009.

His company also won Best UK Mobile Dealer in 2011 and Yorkshire Business of the Year in 2010.

He also founded, and now chairs, Hull's first ever contemporary Arts Gallery called RED. This not-for-profit initiative has been successfully running for 13 years and remains a big passion of his.
